Are you crazy?

A couple of weeks ago my family went to New York City. When we came out of the airport a man came up to me and said he would drive us to the hotel for a good price. I thought for a minute then said yes, I will do it.  It was late and I felt overwhelmed walking out of the airport and just said yes to the first person that asked if they could help.  We walked away from all of the licensed Taxi drivers and got in a man’s car. The next 30 minutes I thought I had put me and my family in danger. As we drove we found out the man was from a country in Africa and from what he said we concluded he was an illegal immigrant.  The cool thing is he was very nice and he took care of my family by getting us to the Hotel safely and quickly.

Have you ever gotten into these type of situations?  Who do you put your faith in or do you put your faith into anything?

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.  Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

When we got out of the car my wife and I looked at our kids and said we have just showed you what to never do.  Wow, My wife and I were so worried but when it comes down to it most people are all trying to live and help each other.

I am not advocating to test God or to do things that are not safe.  This event reminded me of faith and how I need to put my faith in God with every breath of air I take.

Do you have trust issues?  Do you rely on God?  Is it hard to help others?  Are you dying while you are living or are you living while you are dying?

  1. Yes I do!

Carrie Underwood’s song ‘Jesus take the Wheel’ is so true!! We are not able to ‘drive’ through this life on our own! Only when we ask that He take over, because we cannot steer thru life’s trials and tribulations without HIM, are we able to succeed. Trust and Obey*
