He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Deuteronomy 8:3 (NIV)
My mother used the term spiritual food. She explained that we all need it to survive this life on earth.
We need it—where do we get it?? Where can we be fed??
First and foremost ….by getting into God’s Word—reading the Bible!!!
Also, Spiritual food comes from other Christians. So, join a church. Become an active member of a Sunday school class, a Mission group, or a collegiate ministry (BCM), Campus Crusade, Centrifuge, etc.
Listen to sermons at church, on TV, on the radio, and/or on cds.
Go on a mission trip!! Sharing God’s Word is feeding not only those that you’ve gone to help but also yourself!!
Listen to Christian music. Singing praise is food for the soul!!
The apostle Paul says, “As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him” (1 Corinthians 3:18 LB).
