What work does God require of me?

Do you ever wonder what God wants you to do?  I think about this all the time.  Do I need to do anything more?  When you think about it you wonder how you could do anything for the creator of the universe.  It can be over whelming.

The disciples asked what works are required:

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”  Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” John 6:28-29(NIV)

The work of God is to believe in the one he has sent!  It is interesting when we get flustered with all that is going on in life that we can reset to the basics.  The basic is to believe God in the one he has sent.  This one is Jesus Christ.

Have you added so much to your life that you do not know what to do?  Do you feel like too much is required of you?  Do you need to be still and know that God has provided you some hope?

If you do not believe it is OK to tell God and ask Him if he is real to reveal Himself to you.  Pray that you have eyes to see and ears to hear…
