Do you support missions?
How important do you believe missionaries are at spreading the gospel?
Before Jesus ascended to Heaven, He told the disciples:
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Mark 16:15
This past weekend, I attended a ladies brunch at my church. Several families did the program from Togo. Togo is a country on the west coast of Africa that is about the size of W. Virginia.
The adults sang hymns in their country’s primary language, French. How beautiful to hear our old familiar songs in another of God’s spoken word!
Three of the gentleman gave their testimonies on how they came to know Christ. One wanted to be like his elder brother who learned of Jesus through a missionary. He told of how he saw such a difference in his brother once he had accepted Christ. This difference made him want to become like his brother. They were all lead to Jesus through the work of a missionary.
We must support those in missions through prayer, with money or by going out to assist our brothers and sisters who are doing as Jesus instructed all of us to do.

I whole heartedly agree Ruth. Mission work is often done in areas of great need. I believe times of need and struggle are great opportunities for we as Christians to shine the light of hope. We would be wise to seize these opportunities as often as we can and as God opens those doors. Thank you for sharing.
