What about the weekend party crowd?

Some dear friends of mine will be saying their final good bye this week to their 23-year-old son. He was a nice young man: Air Force Veteran, college student, young father, and a Christian. His cause of death was a lethal prescription drug and alcohol cocktail mixed to give a fun Saturday night high. Was the lure of the weekend party life his death sentence? Why were his parents and loved ones not able to convince him of the danger of his recreational activity? How much partying is too much?  How do we comfort those that had to say good-bye this week?
