Do you thank God for all of your blessings?
“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” Matthew 6:26 ESV
“Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!” Luke 12:24 NIV
How often have you gone without….food, water, a roof over your head, a comfortable bed, transportation, electricity? We take these ‘necessities’ for granted until we don’t have them. There are many people, throughout the world, who consider the above items as gifts/blessings. In other words, they do not take food, water, shelter, electricity, or transportation for granted.
I’m sure that you’ve experienced a pantry that needs replenishing, a flat tire or dead battery, no running water or plumbing issues, having to sleep somewhere other than your bed. Do you get frustrated or angry?
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV
“For nothing is impossible with God.” Luke 1:37 NIV
“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 NIV
Once these blessings are restored, do you thank God?
Do you thank Him daily for the gifts He generously gives you on a daily basis?
Do you realize that necessities are ALL gifts from God?
