Are you greedy?
Greed is defined as: A strong desire for more: an overwhelming desire to have more of something such as money than is actually needed.
Our culture continuously tells us about what we do not have, rather than, what we do have. We are constantly bombarded in the media (television, print, and internet) that there are new and better: cell phones, TV cable services, automobiles, furniture, homes, etc. Does this not promote idolatry? Do we really need the latest and greatest thing?
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Mark 16:26
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21
Is your ‘treasure’ stuff, earthly possessions? Or, is it the love that you have for God, your family and your friends?
