Who are you invested in?
Who (not what) have you taken the time to invest in? Is it a child, a person at work, a neighbor, a friend, a stranger…….Who??
This past Sunday, my pastor taught the lesson of investing in others. He started by having the entire staff share who had invested in them. He then asked the congregation to think of who had invested in each of us. I immediately thought of my parents. They not only loved me, they nurtured, supported, disciplined, took time and shared with me. They took the time to invest in me.
We each need to get out of our comfort zone and invest in someone. To invest in a relationship takes time and patience. It can cost you something. However, it is so worth it!!
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:11
“If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.” James 2:8
If you do what Jesus wants you to do, you will be as blessed as the one that you invest in.
Who are you going to invest in?
