Have you heard the phrase, ‘God’s timing is perfect!’?
How many times have you been in a hurry to leave and you can’t find your car keys, or you answer the ringing phone thus delaying your departure?
Several Sundays ago, I tried to leave the house and head to church but the faster I moved the ‘behinder’ I got!!! Finally…..off I went in the car only to hit all 3 red lights between home and the church. The left signal light did not even work!!!! A woman on her cell phone pulled out in front of me and stopped in the road as if there was no oncoming traffic. Then in the parking lot, everybody seemed to be blocking my way to find a parking spot.
Finally, I managed to park and walk toward church!!! To my amazement, my timing—not of my choice—was perfect. The lady that I have been wanting to see for several weeks was standing in the doorway. Once in church, there was the staff member who had not responded to my email.
It looks like what I thought were obstacles, were actually ways to place those that I’d needed to see in my path at the right time.
Why am I always amazed at God’s perfect timing????
He continues to teach me patience and obedience.
What stories do you have to tell about God’s perfect timing??
Proverbs 3:5-6 says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
“God does speak—sometimes one way and sometimes another—even though people may not understand it.” Job 33:14 (NCV)

This has happen to me as well time after time. It is hard for me to be focused on the fact that God is in control of everything and if you are willing to give Him your life He will manage it all. I had a time where I needed to be in a meeting but someone came to me with a major problem. I spent the time to pray with them and was worried about the meeting I was late for. When I got to the meeting, it had been canceled and moved to another time. God is truly in control.
