Who do you know?
In an antique shop, an older gentleman was tinkering with a door of a cabinet. As I walked by, he struck up a conversation and I soon learned that he’d been laid off from a job of over 20 years. He’s been trying for 3 years to find a job only to be told that he was too old. My first thought was,” No way!” Then I thought, “How sad that some company wouldn’t see the experience and maturity he could bring to them.”
I asked him if he had networked with friends, neighbors, or fellow church members. He replied that he’d only recently done so. I then commented that it’s not what you know but who you know.
Who do you know? Who influences you the most? Who is your mentor?
The most important one to know is Jesus!! He always answers our questions. He loves us unconditionally. He gives us the peace beyond all understanding.
No matter what trials we go through or what joy we receive, Jesus knows what’s best for us. Trust in Him and you will have peace.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” John 6:28
Is Jesus the One that you know?
