Will you pray for someone today?
I was unfortunately able to catch the stomach flu recently and I have to tell you it took a toll on me. I found myself being violently ill for about five hours. It was horrible! When I walked by one of my children they said I looked “green”. I do not know how I looked but from the description I did not look well. As I was sleeping the illness off, I had my cell phone close by so that I could do work if possible and I was not able to! During the day I got a text from one of my children saying: “Sorry you are not feeling good today. Praying for you” When I read this from one of my children, I found such gratitude that the Father had given me someone that loves me so much they are willing to pray for me. I would say this was the moment that I started to feel better and I found myself crying with gratitude.
The gratitude was knowing that my own children are seeking the Father for help and that He was sharing this with me. As a parent it is the best thing knowing your children are relying on the Father in heaven! I have had friends and family pray for me but when one of your children pray for you, it seems to be such a blessing!
11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 2 Corinthians 1:11 (NIV)
Do you rely on God? Do you help with prayer? Do you pray and tell no one? Do you care for those that really need it?
