Why do you believe that?
There are some people that I have met that just seem to want to argue about faith in anything. They either do not want to care about things regarding spiritual matters or they have been hurt so much by “spiritual people”. All in all it seems that this stuff is silliness to them…
The unspiritual self, just as it is by nature, can’t receive the gifts of God’s Spirit. There’s no capacity for them. They seem like so much silliness. Spirit can be known only by spirit—God’s Spirit and our spirits in open communion. Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God’s Spirit is doing, and can’t be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah’s question, “Is there anyone around who knows God’s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?” has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ’s Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:14 (MSG)
Think about it! If you live out what you believe 100% at work, home, or anywhere you are, what do you think the ramifications would be? Would people think you are crazy? Would they wonder in awe?
Based on this scripture do you see the importance in the Spirit of God? How can you go to God for people you know that think this stuff is crazy and ask His Spirit to intercede and communicate the truth? Take some time and pray for your friends to see the Spirit of God and know this is not silly! Also, ask God to give you the ability to live in complete faith!
