So many times I worry about things that just do not matter. As a provider for our family, this can be very frustrating when you do not know what is going on with your job. Provision is one thing but when I was a teenager I really worried about how I looked. Clothes were a major thing as well as the hair, etc. As you get older, you begin to realize that worry is a big time waster and can cause a lot of frustration within the home. Why do we keep doing it?
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33 (NIV)
Do you find yourself worrying about food or clothes? If you are a Christian, do you think you worry less than a pagan? Do you trust God? What do you seek first?
