Can you use the Bible to resist evil?

Yes!

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 (NIV)

This passage is where Jesus is telling Satan that what he is saying is not true and that life does not come from bread alone, but that every word comes from God’s mouth!

For me, I am finding that I need to spend more time in the Bible and with friends that believe in it with the goal to ask what, where, when, why? I need to vet out my faith in more detail and I need to seek God to expand my faith.

When I react to circumstances in my life, I need to stop talking and think about what the Word of God would instruct me to do.

How are you doing with diving into the Word of God? Are you reacting like you should be when confronted with circumstances in life? How should you deal with this going forward?
