I would say, “No, not really.” If you cannot trust those that you see, how can you trust what you do not see? These questions can be very difficult. I feel as if ‘trust’ is a control issue for me. If I trust in people and they deceive me, then the issue is either they will suffer the consequences because I’m trusting God to manage the issue or it’s my fault because I allowed the other people to be too close. One option is I am allowing God to deal with it. The other option is that I take care of it and not allow anyone to get close. It seems that the majority of people deal with trust by not trusting and not letting anyone get to close.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Can you trust the Lord with all of your heart? How can you trust without using your own understanding? Are you willing to take a leap of faith? Can God deal with any issue that you have?
