Does God provide us things to show us true faith?

Peace, Dog, kid, family, worry, stressMy neighbors have several dogs.  Whenever I see their dogs, they are always happy, running around and playing with each other.  It amazes me how they seem to not have a care in the world. They are simply having fun.  These dogs seem to have absolutely no worries at all.  When I look at a creature that seems to enjoy life, it makes me think about the people that I have seen like this.  In general, it is children.  One time I was on an airplane with my family.  The flight was extremely turbulent!  Everyone in the family seemed worried but the youngest was saying: “Weeee, this is fun!!”

Anything from animals to humans can worry, which can be a natural part of life, but how we deal with it makes all the difference.  Jesus makes the following statement:

“I’m telling you these things while I’m still living with you. The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you. I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.  John 14:25-27 (MSG)

His gift is peace!  I think the things around us show us Peace and I think those  that have it allow us to get a glimpse of Faith in action.

How can we live a life of ‘no worry’?  What are you doing to not worry but rather accept the Peace that is shown in everyday life?  Will you look for Peace in the people and events around you?
