Does it make you feel good when someone fails?
I know that when people leave jobs, they sometimes want to know if the company started to fail because they needed them. Or sometimes when you are jealous of someone and they fall flat on their face, you feel like they deserved it. Or if someone has treated you terribly then they have something bad happen to them, you may feel that they received what they deserved. It seems to be human nature to feel this way, but should we act this way?
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:6-7 (NIV)
Do you delight in evil or rejoice in truth? Do you protect, trust, hope, and preserve? Ask God to show you if you act this way and to give you the strength to love!
