Who is calling me on my phone?

Why Didn't You Call Me?Have you ever gotten a phone call from a number that you do not know and debated about answering it? I know I have and when I have answered, sometimes I’m like, “Why did I pick it up?” And other times I am pleasantly surprised.  Either way, the phone rings, I’ve  been called and I can respond in someway either by answering or ignoring it.

People of the faith wonder what a calling from God is all about.  I wish I could say it is as easy as someone calling you but I can’t.  What I can say is that when God impresses something on your heart, you know that no matter what, it is it is the right thing to do.  The question is, “Do you choose it?”

“The safest place to be, anywhere in the world is the center of God’s call”, which is stated in “Is God Calling Me?” by Jeff Lorg

No matter if you are a pastor or a person that works a regular job, we are all universally called to serve God.

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. (Ephesians 3:7 NIV)

This call of  being a servant to God gives you freedom knowing that you have a relationship with God due to the saving power of accepting Jesus Christ.

So knowing this, what should you do?  I think it is best stated in Ephesians 4:

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:1-3 NIV)

Are you willing to be a prisoner for The Lord?  Are you peaceful?  I pray that if you read this you can see your calling and seek God’s will in your life!
