Should you use “File New” or “Save As”?
“File New” being a new life or “Save As” keeping the life you have had?
Whenever I hang out with some people, they either want to brag about their past or focus on how to re-live it no matter how bad or good it was (myself included). It is good that the past has shaped us to be better for the future but why dwell on things that, if you think about it, are really horrible.
But that’s no life for you. You learned Christ! My assumption is that you have paid careful attention to him, been well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in Jesus. Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It’s rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you. Ephesians 4:20-24 (MSG)
Read this passage again. I had to read it several times to let it soak in! Are you paying attention to what you have learned from your past ? Do you say how good it is and do nothing? Do you have or make excuses? Have you gotten rid of everything old? Have you renewed your life today?
Praying for you today!
