Should you worship God or not?
I feel like it took me a while to realize I needed God. Being raised in America I thought I ‘had’ God but I really was worshiping so many other things other than God. It was not until I realized that I had put so much before God I was not really following Him, but rather I was following my own desires, stuff, and life.
Some of this worship, even though not correctly focused, was the first steps toward living an obedient lift. I had someone tell me that they were going to be a follower of God and asked me if I wanted to. I know we all have a choice and I truly think God wants us to focus and pick Him rather than sitting on the fence. (Revelation 3:15-17 (NIV))
In Joshua:
“If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.” Joshua 24:15 (MSG)
Have you chosen a God you are willing to serve? Are you willing to stand up in front of everyone and be honest about what you believe? Are you sitting on a fence? Are you willing to hop off of the fence and live for God rather than for yourself? Is it time to get it right?
For my family and me, we’ll worship God!!
