What are you doing for eternity?

There is a lot of history regarding the area of the country that I live in. The Civil War was fought on the land, Native American Indians lived where many houses now stand, Doc Holliday (of Billy the Kid fame) visited his Uncle here, the Olympic torch was carried through the center of town, and even more. As to their impact on eternity, only the Lord knows.

However, currently there are many activities that impact the lives and hearts of people in my area. There are multiple churches that are filled seven days a week with not only church activities, but also, Bible studies, pre-schools, grief share meetings, mission planning, craft activities making projects for others, fellowship, suicide prevention classes, meals for the homebound, classes teaching English as a Second Language, and much more. These are the history making events that will have an impact on eternity.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Matthew 6:20-21
