Are you at peace?

Have a nice day! PeaceI try to be. I’m human and life can be unsettling. As I’ve matured, I find that I don’t get upset as quickly or as often as I once did. I guess age can be helpful!

The Bible promises that no matter the circumstances we’re going through, the peace of God will guard us.

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

‘For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.’ 2 Corinthians 4:17

The Bible tells us of many men who went through difficult and painful experiences that we’ll probably never know. Yet, all were at peace.

There was:

  • Jonah being swallowed up by the whale
  • Paul imprisoned multiple times
  • Moses and the people of Israel wandering in the dessert for 40 years
  • John the Baptist was beheaded

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:5

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Are you at peace?
