How can you work and keep your faith?

It seems that people wonder this all over the world.  Since I travel quite a bit, people ask me how can you work, go to school, or do anything really well and keep your faith.

I think that the first step is realizing that the supply for life does not come from yourself.  It comes from God.  God wants you to work, but He does not want you to put anything before Him.

A priority needs to be prayer/conversation with God.  Also, knowing Him, this comes from reading the Bible.   Once you do this, it is time to keep your focus on what matters and this is God!

Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.  Colossians 3:23-24 (HCSB)

Who do you work for?  Why do you work?  How can you keep the focus?
