Do you ever have a feeling that something is wrong but cannot really figure it out?

Separation, depression, pray, seek, place, will, HisMy thought is: “I do not know what is going on and I do not like how I am feeling!!”

I do not know if you understand me; but I have had a time where I just did not know what was going on. Deep within me, I knew something was completely wrong.  People today could call that depression or even sensing something.  All in all, I do not know what this is but sometimes there seems to be seasons in my life that are like this.  I try to fix it by thinking about how to deal with problems, but if you do not know what the problem is, how can you fix it?

As I get older, I know my body better than I ever have.  I know when I am tired or if I have not eaten properly. It has an overall impact on me in many ways.  I would say this feeling is not what I’m trying to explain.  It is something bigger than just how your body is dealing with what is going on in your life.

I know when Jesus was praying in the garden prior to being arrested, he had some deep heart felt issues and petitioned the group to stay awake and pray!

Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives

39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. 40 On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” 41 He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. 44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

45 When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow. 46 “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.”  Luke 22:39-46 (NIV)

I am not saying you or I are Jesus, but I am saying, as we live a life as a person that is seeking to be like Him, these times come.  We can choose to try to sleep it off or run from it but I think He wants us to do what is in this passage.  PRAY!!!

Do you ever have times like this?  Do you ever just turn everything off when driving in the car alone and just listen?  Do you ever pray with the goal to hear your Father’s will?  Shut your eyes now and ask God to reveal to you what He wants!  Do not ask for anything. Do not try to change anything. Just pray to God for His will to be done.
