Are you worried about growing old?
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14
As we age, our physical body is hit with gravity, aches, and pains! We don’t move as quickly as we use to. It’s difficult to bend down to pick up that dropped item off the floor. We don’t see as well. Climbing stairs can be a real challenge. Certain foods that we once ate by the bagful, we can’t even taste without packing on the pounds or getting indigestion!!
So that’s the negative of aging.
The positive is that we’ve become smarter. Our knowledge has grown. Hopefully, we’ve learned not to make those mistakes that we did in our youth!
Have you grown in the Lord as you’ve grown older?
Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! Psalm 105:4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
Remember…..
But you remain the same, and your years will never end. Psalm 102:27
