Is your life a cup full of Cherry’s?

cherry, life, good, pain, badI have heard people say that they think if or when they become a Christian and do “good” everything in their life should become easier.  So, they accept Christ and try to do “good” and sometimes things get better and sometimes things get worse.  When they get worse they start asking God why?  I have seen some people leave the faith because they perceive that doing “good” gets them nowhere, so why try?  Also, I have seen people deny Christ because they know Christians that have a life of pain and suffering.  They say things like, “How could there be a God that would allow pain in people that are following him?”.  I have also seen people finally let go of everything due to the pain in their life and find God in a place that you can only understand if you have been there.

Love you Enemies:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’  But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.  If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?  And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?  Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.  Matthew 5:43-48 (NIV)

Have you realized that your life is temporary and it is not about you?  Do you know that God sends ‘rain’ on the righteous and the unrighteous?  Do you love the people that you hate?  Do you know that the best Christian that has ever lived was nailed to a cross?

Does your life magnify or minimize God?
