What do you rely on?

I have had some job issues this year and it is interesting when I reflect on how I have dealt with it.  When I thought I was going to lose my job, the first thing I went to was my 401K and savings and reflected on how I would make it.  When I thought of my response it convicted me.  Recently a friend read the following passage and I truly am thankful for this verse:

Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as being in control of everything.  Riches and honor come from you alone, and you are the ruler of all mankind; your hand controls power and might, and it is at your discretion that men are made great and given strength.  1 Chronicles 29:11-12 (LB)

Are you relying on your 401K or your Father in heaven?  Do you really believe that this is God’s kingdom?  Do you worship and adore God?  Can you allow God to control every part of your life?  Do you thank God for both the good and bad events knowing that He will manage it all?
