We all fall short and if we think we are pure then we seem to be off on the facts of what we truly are. What I am trying to say is that for so long people have always had some kind of spiritual arrogance and we need to realize we all are equal and fall short to the creator of the universe. If we base ourselves on others we will end up comparing and then people will feel judged. This judgment is where spiritual arrogance occurs if you are Christian or not.
So, to answer the question above, if you are human you have fallen short and you are dead in your sin. The awesome part of all this is that our creator wants a personal relationship with each of us. This past weekend I was reminded of the fact that even in my sin I can find hope in our creator due to how much he loves me and you.
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:13-15 (NIV)
Do you have a heart of repentance or arrogance? Do you compare yourself to others to make yourself feel better? Are you willing to allow God to control your life? Is tradition more important than loving others? Are you willing to turn from your sin and seek God? Are you willing to accept Jesus being as a sacrifice for you? Have you confessed with your heart that you are a sinner and asked God to accept you by believing He offered His son for you?
