What happens when something goes wrong?

Battle WoodDo you get upset?

Do you feel all alone?

There are many scriptures that re-assure us that we are never alone:

“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

‘For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you…” Acts 18:10

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

‘Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

For He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5

OK, in this day and time, we are so dependant on our technical devices that when one doesn’t work, we panic!! What would you do if your smart phone lost important information and you’re hundreds of miles from the main computer at your home? Well, it happened to me.

While sitting in a Sunday school class that my brother was teaching, I was reading the scripture on my iPhone. I noticed that something was  just not right with the phone and I soon discovered that all of my contacts have disappeared.  No phone numbers or email addresses are listed any longer!! I could not do anything, so I sat there trying not to panic and to listen to the lesson. Not an easy thing to do** But, I listened to my brother and the class members talking about family and friends that needed our prayers. So much more important than my ailing cell phone!!

Simply, things can be fixed or replaced.  Our time spent with family, friends, and most importantly, with the Lord is irreplaceable!!

The Lord tells us:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  Philippians 4:6

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.”  John 14:1

So who do you turn to in times of trouble as well as times of joy? Do you panic? Or, do you trust in the Lord?
