What difference does light make?

There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.(John 1:6-9)

NASA has taken volumes of photographs throughout the years; however, I find the ones taken of our planet at night most enlightening.

As you can see, the most populated areas of the United States shine bright at night in comparison to the wide open spaces of the western US.

This is a picture of Asia. Look at the difference between North and South Korea. The North is in darkness and filled with oppression, where as, the South is filled with light and has freedom.

What a huge difference light makes!! It makes a difference in the human condition.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5

Do you know the Light of the World?

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
