Do you really hate some people?
Hate is such a harsh word; but in talking with others and hearing what some people have done to them, I sometimes think that the word “hate” is not harsh enough. In fact, when I have heard some stuff, it is hard for me not to hate them too. If you have never been there, it may be difficult for you to understand.
How should you deal with people that have wronged you, that you hate, or are just flat out your enemy?
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Matthew 5:43-45 (NIV)
Is this impossible? How can you “love your enemies”? Free yourself now by going to God and asking Him to take care of anyone that has wronged you. Let Jesus manage it! Are you willing to release the issues and seek God to be the center of your life? Can you take the pain that you have and use it to help someone that has gone through the same thing?
