Are you living in the dark?

Many years ago, I visited Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. What a magnificent place it is!! Deep inside the earth are a multitude of caves, paths, unusual ‘sculptures’, and bats!!

While on this tour of the caves, we were asked to sit down. The park rangers turned off all of the lights. That was the only time that I have experienced true and total darkness. It was pitch black. It was a moment of the complete absence of light!!

I’m very thankful that I live in a world that has light. That even in the darkness, there is not an absence of light!

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 (NIV)
