I once had this friend and when they had nothing they were awesome. But, if they got a little extra money, you could not even be around them. They were so arrogant and acted like they could walk all over you.
If any kind of richness with money or blessings becomes all there is then you are setting yourself up for failure!
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 (NIV)
Are you arrogant in your richness or even your poorness? What do you put your hope into? Are you focused on good deeds, being generous, and willing to share? If you fall down, are people willing to pick you up and help you based on your reputation or are they going to turn their back on you?Do You Believe?
