Is that person going to tell me about Jesus?

The other day, I was walking on the beach and two guys walked up to me and asked if they could share something with me.  I had some time so I said, “Sure!”  They pulled out this card and read the following to me:

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23 (NIV)

They asked me what sticks out in that passage.  When I read it, I really had one of those moments that I would say was “cool”.  It reminded me of when I heard this for the first time and how it hit me so hard in the heart.  I felt happy and excited to hear someone young tell it. I looked forward to see how he would tell me.

They explained that my sin separated me from God.  But if I would confess my sin and accept Christ Jesus, that He would give me eternal life.  It is like Christmas.  A gift from a friend that I do not need to return the favor, just accept it.

Take a moment and thank God that as BIG as He is, He is willing to be our friend and give us this free gift.  Also pray that this site will help people know Him or ask questions to make a decision on what they want to do.  I hope if you know Jesus that you will never be upset if someone tells you how you can know Him. Allow someone to practice in sharing the greatest gift that anyone can receive.

If you do not know Jesus, let someone tell you about Him. Ask them questions so that you can make a decision on what you are going to do!
