Are you guilty of claiming to be something that you are not?

A young father took his child to the zoo to see the animals, especially the lion. Once they arrived at the lion’s cage, they saw a beautiful animal but it barked! True story.  In a zoo located in China, when the zoo keepers moved the lion out of his cage, they replaced it with a Tibetan Mastiff (a dog). It may have looked similar to a lion, but it sounded nothing like one!!

How often do others look to us as Christians, but we open our mouths and ‘bark’?

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves’ Matthew 7:15

What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them. Matthew 15:11

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matthew 12:36-37

Are you easily distracted? Do you get so consumed that you bark instead of saying kind loving words? Who do you put first in your life: yourself, others, or the Lord?
