Do you fear anything?

fear, isolation, sin, separation, forgivenessIf God is for us, who can be against us?  Romans 8:31b (NIV)

With a Bible verse like this you wonder why you would fear anything. I think the real reason we fear things is due to sin. Fear is a result of sin.

God called to the Man: “Where are you?”  He said, “I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked. And I hid.”  Genesis 3:9-10 (MSG)

When Adam sinned and was called by God, he was afraid. Sin puts a wedge between us and God as well as people that we sin against. To repair this separation or fear based on what we do, we have to release it and humbly ask God and others for forgiveness.

When you sin do you feel unprotected like Adam and Eve did?  Do you believe that sin is what causes us to fear things?  Was Adam unhindered prior to his sin?  How can you live a life open and free?
