Can technology bring people to Christ?

Fast HandsYES!!!

In this day and time, the world is much smaller. People that would never have been reached are hearing about Jesus. Social media such as Twitter, Blogs, the internet, Youtube and Facebook are reaching out to people all over the world. In an instant hundreds of thousands of people can hear or read about Jesus.

One man has made a goal of 100,000 salvations a week by reaching out to the entire world via Facebook. The Facebook page ‘Jesus Daily’ has over 25 million likes and 19 million followers! Yes, MILLION!!!

I know that there are many folks that think Facebook and other social media sites are foolishness. Perhaps; however, this man’s dream has become a reality and he has reached millions of people with the use of the Internet. It would have taken decades for those in the mission field to reach this enormous amount of people.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16“He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.… Mark 16:15-16

How are you using technology? Do you think of it as useful or an escape? What can you do to reach others for Jesus? Do you believe?

Or can Christ use technology to speak to his followers? I must post the most amazing event that happened to me on December 17, 2013. I was visiting a client that happens to have have a statue of Jesus outside its building. My cell phone was in my breast pocket. As I was leaving I stopped in front of the statue of Jesus and prayed to St. Jude. As I finished I heard the notification that I had received a text which I was expecting from a friend. I reached into my pocket an removed my phone. I needed to tap the button to refresh the screen which was inactive. As I expected my friend’s text was there. But below it was my response which I did not comply. It was two unique words clearly and directly related to my prayer. I did not type them. How did they get there? I explained this to my son when I got home. We tried to duplicate the words in text message by swiping the screen which was not active when I removed the phone from my breast pocket. We could not even come remotely close. There is no explanation for this. In my heart and in my mind I believe that St. Jude or Jesus actually sent me the text message on my phone. This is the second time this particular statue has provided great meaning to me in my life. The first time was over 18 months ago when I woke up asking myself what Jesus looked like and on my first visit to this client arrived to see the statue. Many of you may doubt this story but I can assure you it is all true. Jesus is alive.
