I want to be HOT for God!!

 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!  So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.   You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.  Revelation 3:15-17 (NIV)

It amazes me how hot we can be for things that just do not matter.  On the other hand, we can be cold for things that really do matter.  It is when we do neither and just do nothing, that it seems we waste time.  Often when you look at people, it is easy to see what motivates them.  Try this:

1. STOP, pray for God’s wisdom.
2. Now reflect on what your passion is.  Be honest with yourself.  Look at what you read, what you do, what you focus your day on, and what you spend your money on.
3. Ask several friends what they think your passion is.
4. When you are done, think about what you are going to do about it.

Are you hot for something?  Are you cold for things?  Are you just lukewarm?  Do you feel that you don’t need a thing?  If you have children, what are you teaching them?
