Do you need a reminder that God is here?

“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.  “You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:2-3(NIV)

God had brought the people out of slavery. He had pulled them out, lead them, and then He told them not to put anything before Him.

Really?  I can see if He was not there or if their life had been in despair; but God had pulled them from slavery and He needed to tell them not to put anything before them. The interesting thing is that when God informed Moses of this law, people were building an idol.

God knew the people and He knows you. Are you listening to what He is telling you?  Do you trust God?  How can you focus on what He wants you to do and not disobey His instruction?
