Is it hard being Holy?

Yes, in fact I think if you try on your own, it is virtually impossible.  The perception seems to be a struggle between wanting to have “fun” versus living a holy life that is “boring”.  The interesting part is, that if you find yourself in despair or with the inability to deal with life except by accepting God’s law and seeking His direction, you find “having fun” boring and a holy life “fun”.

Be Holy

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.  As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.  But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 1 Peter 1:13-15 (NIV)

When you read this post, do you find yourself not understanding?  Do you want a life of peace?  Do you know what you should do but choose not to go down the correct path?  Are you not willing to conform to the evil desires that you have? Are you willing to live a life of obedience?  Do you just not care?
