Do you like change?
Well…it depends on what it is. They say that the older you are the less you like change. I guess that makes me 3000!!! This morning at Church the lady sitting next to me was not happy with the music. I guess that it was too contemporary for her. She obviously doesn’t like change in musical styles. Years ago, the person in charge of leading the music at church was called the choir director. Change came and now this person is called the Worship Leader. Don’t you think that title is much better?
‘Worship’ is defined: to show respect and love for God or for a god especially by praying, having religious services, and to perform or take part in worship or an act of worship.
In Psalm 150, the Lord instructs us to:
1 Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
The following videos are 2 versions of the same beautiful Hymn, ‘Amazing Grace’:
And here is an entirely different version…This is Amazing Grace’
