When I was a kid, I thought that life was so difficult. Then I got older and realized that I had it easy. As a child, I really had no one counting on me. Now, as I have
grown into being an adult, I see that my responsibilities continue to grow. My father always said, “Getting older is not for the faint of heart!”. As he started to have to deal with day-to-day responsibilities, including illness, he realized that life was going to be a hard journey. Every time you think that you have life figured out, it appears to throw you one more curve ball.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
Do you go to Jesus when you are weary and burdened? Will He really give you rest? Do you give Jesus your load and find rest in your soul?
For me, I try to hand it all over to Him everyday. So far it seems that He is keeping His promise. Try it! You will like it!
