Do you worry about the end or get excited?

For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.  You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  Matthew 24:5-7 (NIV)

If the end of your life is happening tragically, naturally, or by the entire world coming to a conclusion, I think that it will feel the same way no matter how it comes to you.  I know my parents thought that Jesus would return based on the signs stated in the passage above.

With all of the wars going on in the world, Ebola disease driving by my home town, and earthquakes killing people all over the world I would say that I am just like my parents in thinking that Jesus will be coming soon.

The key to this passage is to not be “alarmed”.  Jesus will help you through death no matter how it will happen.  These are big words that I am writing about but I do feel that no one really knows when death is going to happen and Jesus is telling us to not be alarmed!

The Day and Hour Unknown

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.  As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:36-37 (NIV)

From a person that has never died I write this so you need to take it for what it is worth.  I pray for Jesus to return soon because living is Christ but dying is gain (Philippians 1:21).

I thank God that He has not returned because we that believe in Jesus have more opportunity to share our faith with people that do not believe.

Do you worry about dying?  Do you think the Messiah has come or are you still looking for something?  Is your faith easily swayed?   Are you willing to focus on sharing your faith rather than worrying about the things you cannot control?

I pray that we can be faithful in what we believe!
